On Monday, 04 May 2015, an extraordinary Cabinet Meeting chaired by His Excellency the President of the Republic, Paul KAGAME, convened in Village URUGWIRO.
- The Cabinet Meeting approved its earlier decisions of 14 April 2015, after minor adjustments.
- The Cabinet Meeting approved the following Orders.
- Presidential Order establishing the procedure of performance appraisal and promotion of judges and judicial personnel;
- Presidential Order determining Benefits for Members of the Council of Elders;
- Prime Minister’s Order determining the organizational structure, salaries and fringe benefits for employees of the Council of Elders (REAF);
- Prime Minister’s Order determining the organizational structure, summary of job positions, and salaries and fringe benefits for Rwanda Management Institute (RMI);

- a) The Minister in the Office of the President informed the Cabinet Meeting that the National Unity and Reconciliation Commission in collaboration with Unity Club will start the process of selecting Promoters of Unity & Reconciliation “ABARINZI B’IGIHANGO” from May 2015. The best candidates will be announced and rewarded in October 2015 during the 8th Forum of Unity Club.
- b) The Minister of State in MINEDUC in charge of Primary and Secondary Education informed the Cabinet Meeting that the launching ceremony of the National curriculum took place at SERENA Hotel, Kigali, on 23 rd April 2015 and the ceremony was attended by 300 stakeholders in education sector. The launch marked the beginning of the implementation phase of the Competence-based curriculum and it was the opportunity to avail the new curriculum to key stakeholders and mobilize their support for its implementation. The new curriculum will be implemented from January 2016 in schools beginning with preschools, Primary 1, Primary 4, Senior 1 and Senior 4. The implementation will be progressive covering a span of three years 2016, 2017 and national examinations in 2018.
